As an adult, I've been publishing poetry in the small presses for decades. I also suffer from anxiety and depression... when the "Great Recession" hit, I lost my car, my job, my place, and... my mind. I became so deeply depressed I even stopped writing for the first time ever. Several years later, when I started again, I found myself writing about my childhood; a topic I'd virtually never covered. And I found it very cathartic. This book grew, rather organically, out of that.
