Reyna Bio


Thelma T. Reyna’s books have collectively won 10 national literary honors. She has written a short story collection, The Heavens Weep for Us and Other Stories; 2 poetry chapbooks,  Breath & Bone,  and Hearts in Common; plus a full-length poetry collection, Rising, Falling, All of Us. As Poet Laureate in Altadena, 2014-2016, she edited the Altadena Poetry Review Anthology: 2015, as well as the 2016 collection, which was the Winner in 2 national book competitions in 2016.  Reyna’s fiction, poetry, and nonfiction have appeared in literary journals, anthologies, textbooks, blogs, newspapers, and other media (print and online) for over 25 years.

She was selected as a “Top 10 San Gabriel Valley Poet, 2016” by Spectrum Publications. She is the founder and owner of the editing consultancy, The Writing Pros, based in Pasadena, CA.
